Thanked: 5My introduction
Hi guys!
About two months ago I took up traditional wet shaving after buying a Merkur Progress and some accessories. Recently I bought a Vulfix #376 too, which is amazing. Now I'm considering getting a straight after getting a couple of straight razor shaves in a barbershop in Turkey. I understand that using a straight takes some commitment, but I think I'm ready. Before I got the Progress, shaving was a bitter drudgery, but now I look forward to it.
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself to the other members here at Straight Razor Place. My name is Sigurd, and I'm a 26 year old student. Looking forward to post some more here!

Thanked: 1Welcome Euroburger .. :-)
Theo, near Schiphol, The Netherlands here.
Browse a bit post a bit and please know that every Monday at 2 am Amsterdam time there is a chat in yahoo (although I fell asleep a few times before it was 2 am myself).
Been shaving with a straight for a short while now (7 weeks), not nearly perfect unless doing 4 passes and touch-ups.
Take care,
Hoekie

Welcome, Sigurd
I'm a new guy here, too. Been "cutting my throat" for about 3 weeks! I won't shave any other way.
Enjoy the forum!!

Wlcome!
Another noob here myself. Been at it since the end of July and like yourself I have found shaving now to be a new joy. This is a terrific place to share experiences and listen to others'. I haven't found a community of more helpful, honourable and just down right friendly gentlemen and ladies (Hi Tilly) anywhere.
