Crown and Sword Straight Razor
Can anyone tell me about this brand? I really like the way they look, the markings on the handles and blade especially. I can't seem to find much info on them. Are they english or german made? Are they good shavers? Just curious. Maybe someone can enlighten me.

Greetings Pappy,
I have a few of these (5/8 & 6/8) and they shave beautifully. Mine are all made in Germany. They are very easy to hone and hold a keen edge. They are a heavier razor meaning the center-point of balance is not at the pivot pin. I personally like the extra heft. I don't know about their history.Last edited by Rik; 10-08-2005 at 01:35 AM.

Thanks all, it's good to know they shave as good as they look. Traveller, I would like to see pictures of your razor. Most of the one's I've seen are black, although I've seen one with amber colored scales. I'll have to dig around some more in the internet, see if I can come up with some history on them.
