Selling Advice
I have a few razors to sell, and have reviewed the "Guidelines for the Classifieds Section." But, there isn't a lot there beyond the rules for who can post, and some etiquette. Searching threads didn't turn up much.
Is there a wiki I am missing?
I know this General forum is not the place to post pictures, and ask for comments about value and a fair asking price. Is there any place on SRP for these type conversations? If not, I will read thru a bunch of classifieds, and just do my best.
This might not be the correct forum for this message. If not, or if I am out of order sending this message to the General forum, please forgive. (Or, moderators, just delete the message.)

We can't give you suggestions on values of your razors. Such talk is currently prohibited if I understand correctly.
If you have an Ebay account, go to Ebay and search for the brand names of the razors you'd like to sell. If any come up, I suggest filtering or doing an advanced search by specifying "completed listings". This will bring up past auctions and will show you actual prices paid for said razors.
If you have an Ebay account, don't mind taking the time to list, don't mind Ebay and Paypal fees AND your goal is to try and get the most for each razor, then I would say you have a better chance of getting more for each razor than setting a price in a classified. No guarantee there, but the few times I sell razors and of course, want the highest price I can get for them (who wouldn't?) I list on Ebay and thereby "throw them to the razor piranhas" where the hungriest with the most money will win. I've been a razor piranha myself sometimes I assure you.

Thanked: 4942I think these types of advices are best addressed individually for the most part. If you Study the classifieds and ebay, you will get a good indication of the value of razors. I always think you do best with a nice clean and shave ready razor.
In a short period, you will develop an understanding of what brands of razors go for what and what condition and different materials add or detract from value.
Have fun,
Lynn

I think your responses have answered my main question whether there was a wiki or helps or any forum for these type conversations. I don't mind doing my own homework, but wanted to do it intelligently.
Thanks, everyone!

Thanked: 21Larry it's best to have your auctions end on the weekend if selling on ebay. Also check and see if there are other razors the same make at the same time on the bay. I recently had a few henckels sell for ~$50, one with org. instructions. This last week 2 wend for over $300?! I think ebay can be a real art, much like shaving with a straight.
