    Default F. von Brosy Steinberg

This F.VonBrosy Steinberg 4/8 hollow ground razor is a very high quality razor from appearances and blade edge performance. Unfortunately, I can't find any information about the manufacturer or the razor model other than it is a Solingen razor.

Can any one help with information?

Does anyone else have a razor by this manufacturer, and if so, what type razor and what is your opinion of it?

Factory F.von Brosy-Steinberg, Stahlwarenfabrik, Solingen-Gräfrath was opened in 1872 and registered on July, 2nd, 1889 in Solingen.
They manufactured all types of cutlery.
In 1939 the factory located on Wuppertalerstrasse, 251. Owners at that time were Hans von Brosy-Steinberg and H.Schöpp.
    Trademarks: Barbo, Bryso, Von Brosy.

P.S. I think this topic must be in "Razors" forum.

I searched in our site under manufacture, and razor, using every possible part of the name. Nothing. If any information is there, I was doing something wrong.

But, thank you very much for this information!

Aren't 4/8 and smaller razors called dwarf or travel razors? This guy is cute to say the least. The nifty size really doesn't jump out at you even with the quarter placed in the picture for scale.

In the set of seven I bought that included this razor, there were several of these dwarf razors. I've shaved with several. They really put me over the top in shaving the hard to reach portions of my neck! My first truly BBS shave on my neck, with no stubble anywhere to mar my pride.

    But, I wander...

Nice one. It should, by all means, go into the Category:Straight Razor Database - Straight Razor Place Wiki - along with the MFG info manah kindly provided.

I haven't added a razor to the database, but will do so. Thanks for the suggestion.
