    Default Sham is The Man

I just want to take a minute to say a huge, enormous THANK YOU to Sham/Hi_bud_gl.

Sham's been truly generous with his experience, helping me with honing at several steps. He checked a couple of razor I honed and gave me very very helpful advice, and much needed encouragaement, even going so far as to label on of them with numbered points as to what the problems were.

Then, last night, taking note of the general frustration I've been having with my stones, he gave me a call on Skype and walked me through a hone--it helped me get a fantastic edge on a razor, and really helped me work out a couple of concepts I've been struggling with.

He's a good guy, our Sham, and I want to thank him for all his help and encouragement.

    Спасибо!

Sham is the best friend anyone could have---a true gentleman. He has helped me immeasurably over the last year as I immersed myself in our hobby. Sham has made this experience all the better.
Skype is a great free program. We use it to see and talk with our son in Iraq. The quality is also very good considering.

If we voted for member of the year Sham would get my vote!

What Jim said. I'm new to this, have bought a couple of razors from Sham and have had nothing but excellent experiences. He's a gentleman of the highest order.

Sham is awesome, no doubt about it. Honestly....he is the reason im straight shaving still. He sold me my very first blade a few months ago and i was quite discouraged at first. He gave me some very helpful tips back then...and since i have bought 3 more razors from him. Each one very very sharp....and giving me the perfect idea of what "sharp" should feel like.

Thanks for all the help sham

Sham is one of my favorite people on SRP and was nice enough to send some hones down here for me to try out. He is always looking out for new guys and like you say is a genuine nice guy as his screen name demonstrates.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Sham is a great guy, he loves people and loves to help them, he is very generous and out going. I doubt if there is anybody here who could not learn something from him.....he has that much knowledge and experience. For those of us who are lucky enough to have done business with him it is a privilege. His family is beautiful!

Ditto to what everyone has said. I too bought my first "shave ready" razor from him, it has turned out to be my favorite and daily shaver of the few straights I own. Thanks again for all the advice he and others so willingly share.

I've only bought a razor from Sham, but let me say, it was scary sharp! That was in March of this year, and I'm just getting to the point where I'm thinking about honing it. He knows his stuff.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.
