So now that I am slowly considering myself a true straight shaver. Started 12/08! So by no means a pro, but a seasoned novice. I have started to really enjoy not only the shave but time, tradition and nostalgia of the whole process.

But back to the point of this post. I have started to become very particular on the whole concept of being and keeping a very trim and groomed appearance. The only issue that I have now realized is the area/time we live in I am hard pressed to find a barbershop that still takes the time and pleasure in providing a top notch hair cut. For the past 4-5 months I have tried numerous barbershops, salons, and hole in the wall haircut shops all round Boise, Idaho and have come to the same conclusion with each.... Any one cutting my hair who is under the age of 40, is more concerned with "chatting" me up and talking about their myspace friends or what they just posted on facebook than actually providing a proper hair cut.

So not with the intention to rant, but more so with the intention of discussion and learning, I was hopping to get some feed back on where SRP users are getting good if not great haircuts these days, and if anyone is cutting their own?

And one last thought before I sign off on this post. If you find a great Barbershop in your area that isn't one of those large corps. Lets all make sure we keep them in business any way we can. Three generations of my family had used the same barbershop since 1962, and in '97, I was only about 10, letting everyone know how young I am. This great shop went out of business because they couldn't compete with the new Great Clips that opened a block away.

Thanks for the ear!
