Yes Glen, it's the thistle. I love what you did with that thing. It's beautiful. And yes, they are wonderful shavers.
Thank you everyone. I was just wondering if the burn was normal. I will try using a lighter hand.

I have had the pleasure of honing several Thistles, they are great to work with and a joy to shave with! Glens right, you are comparing apples to oranges, alcohol burns soooo gooood! Wheres that bottle of Clubman?

Screw all that. I make my own after shave. I steep bay leaves in a bottle of 151 over night.... woowee that'll wake you up in the morning. Talk about bay rum burn.... (JK I do not do this nor suggest it...)
