Thanked: 0new guy alert!
hey everybody, I'm new to the fourums here...
I used to shave with a blade about 8 years ago or so (in highschool), but have sence given it up. A buddy of mine just got interested in it, and told me about these forums and that it was possible to get some info from you guys.
I'm just wondering about the best places to get supplies, I have only my cup and brush, the other stuff has dissapeared in moves and whatnot.
Any info you guys could pass my way would be awesome!

It's great to see people keep coming. You reaffirm my sanity.
I hope you will enjoy the forum and shaving as much as I do.

Thanked: 2209The one place you may want to avoid is Ebay for your first razor. There is ample opportunity there to get exactly what you don't need. Old and rusted or one of the new cheap Pakistani made razors that will not take an edge.
If you are considering a specific razor and want our opinion just post a message here. We will be glad to help!

Welcome aboard!
I would also endorse Bill Ellis at http://www.billysblades.com/Straighr%20Razors.htm
and for all your stroping needs, Tony Miller can't be beat in my opinion. He has starter kits available too. You can see those in the user gallery.
The folks here are all great and willing to help. I've certainly learned a lot.
