Default This just blew my mind.

First off, I know this probably belongs in the auction talk section, but I wanted to share its amazingness with everyone.

So without further adieu, here you go gentlemen.

I want one. I want a modern razor company to make one. Could you possibly think of a better travel razor? If you are rushed, just use your SE for a quick shave before an important meeting. If you have the time to lounge around your hotel, then simply whip out your straight and enjoy your daily shave as usual.

    LOL maybe a good idea
but the thingy that holds the blade like a straight is meant for honing.

I don't know... I imagined it as more of a Japanese style straight than the western ones most of us use.

Even if it was intended for honing, we could still use it right?

So I just noticed it is in fact a SE/Straight combo. If only it was a DE/Straight. I wonder if we had enough people interested, if we could get someone to make one. Or if someone with metal working tools wanted to make a prototype. I'm tempted to try myself, even without tools. This seriously looks like the best idea ever to me.

Some of the old wilkinsons came with a similar setup. From what I understand, the other handle was intended for stropping/honing.

It is tempting to investigate. If I ever used my DEs anymore I would look into it. But I picked up a cigar caddy to travel with straights instead.
