I Bought some Razors Yesterday
Yesterday I browsed a few antique stores in search of straight razors and came up with a few finds. (Actually, I had seen these razors there before, but didn't find them appealing until the guy offered me a deal on them.)
Anyhow, these razors are not your standard blades. One is about an eighth of an inch thick and is as long as a normal straight's spine ([i]it's spine is too thin to be a broken normal one, and it has been sharpened in the past at this thickness). I had never seen a razor like it before, and I'm wondering whether it's used for refinement or something?
The other razor also has a small blade at about 2 and half inches. Its shape is not unlike a pocket knife. These two razors had prices of like, 8 - 10 bucks, but the guy said he'd give 'em to me for a buck each.
I also got a 5/8 razor for 12 bucks. It's got an amber colour ("early ochre" they said it was) and it was made in NY, circa 1900). It'll need a bit of honing, but I think it'll turn out to be a nice razor once it's cleaned and stuff.
Oh! And I bought a new "shavette" razor at another place, but I spent 14 blasted dollars on the wrong blades, getting a pack of Doubled Edged razors. Now I've got to get a DE so I can use them! Ha.
Anyway, the main purpose of this thread is for you folks to tell me about my "mini razors." Anyone have any info?

Thanked: 0BW,
The mini razor with the pocket knife-like blade is a corn knife. Do not attempt to shave with it. It was designed to cut corns or callus off your feet and hands.
The other one may be the same thing, but I am unsure.
Good luck,
Tim

Gugh!
I feel violated for some reason... Ha.
Yeah, I wasn't going to attempt shaving with either of these suckers, really. I just bought them for collecting purposes. But yeah, I'll never look at them in the same way again.
