    Default Wapienica

I had given this razor to my brother in law before it was rescaled. At the time I was talking with a couple rescalers on the forums and my brother in law had expressed interest in straight shaving. I handed over the NOS Wapienica and informed him it would need to be honed. He asked where / who / etc... and I told him I had been in contact with Ray (rayman) for a honing and told him I would get the razor to Ray and when it was done get it back to him.

I had also mentioned I was in contact with a couple fellas on getting some different scales and he asked what I had found out. I explained to him what I had found out and the next day he asked if I would get with Ray for a honing and a rescale. I contact Ray and everything was a go so I sent it out.

The Wapi returned a week or so ago and made me wish I had kept it

Here is a crappy picture from my phone that doesn't even come close to doing this justice. It is a rescale in cocobollo with a resting pin and a brass spacer.

I'll have to get some good pics of this thing, it is very nice and well balanced.

Quite a nice looking rescale there. I love the Wapi setup (5/8, quarter hollow) so much that I used the specs from a Wapi when ordering my custom blade blank, just went with a pointier french point.

Yes indeed, I'm thinking I'll have to round up another NOS Wapi for myself.

They are excellent...I have 3 at the moment, but I will likely get a few more.

Where can I get a Wapi in reliable condition (e.g., not warped) these days? Not particularly interested in a $100 re-scale job. I just want to try the blade.
