Thanked: 351Clauss razors?
Ok, so I got a bit carried away and ended up winning this one:

Well, winning is good but I'm wondering if I paid a bit too much. Hopefully the razor will be as good or better than it looks in the picture. The strop is more of a novelty to me... if it's actually usuable then so much the better but I was thinking it would be more of a decoration than a user.
I've not found any mention of the Clauss "New Departure Razor" but at least it looks like it might have some years worth of use left in it. Any comments, good or bad? I mean besides me having to quit hanging around Ebay....

Thanked: 4942Christian, we might have to sign you up for the 12 step straight razor addiction program, but not to worry. Clauss is a really good shaver and this one looks to be in really nice shape with a neat handle. Lynn

Thanked: 351I'm kinda wondering about those scales... oh well, I'll find out soon enough.
As for that 12 step program...<sigh>, I think it's too late... I just hope the goverment comes up with a free shaving cream plan for us junkies, otherwise I may be forced to spend my declining years standing on street corners going " Pssst... buddy, can you spare a dime for some shaving cream?"
