Default My New single pass razor

Went to the coast to visit my dad today and he said he found me a new razor. Put it up against an old C-MON blackie that had been re-scaled (poorly) as a comparison.

Guess it's a good thing I don't shave my lip huh?

    Cool!
That's a brute. A wedge by the looks of it... well it looks like the wedges I use to fell trees with anyhow.

I'm trying to figure out where I'm going to get a strop for it. Pretty much need to use the whole horse.

No. It's all wood with the grey/metallic paint. I got one of the wood razors that turbine712(?) is making and told my dad about it when I ordered. So I went down to see my gramp today (turned 80) and dad had come up with this. He does a lot of woodworking projects so I'm not really surprised. The only mistake he really made is that there's just a pin where the wedge should be. He asked if there was anything that needed to be changed so I'm not sure if he's going to try another one or what the deal is.

That would be a size 2-1/2 strop... 2 hides and 1/2 a bucket of glue.

Hah. That does remind me of the famous crocodile dundee scene ("Knife? That's not a knife. THIS is a knife!")
