Rich,
My option wasn't up there. Currently, I'm more interested in a few of the larger blades, 6/8 or 7/8. I guess my best answer would be "sharp"!

I would say TI is my brand
I would agree, that "sharp" would be a requirement. I am new to this and at the moment I am trying to find razors that keep their edge for one entire shave (2 passes + touch-up). I have a tough beard and not many razors can win, especially when it comes to chin stubble.
So far I only found two that do: TI 6/8 Kingwood and a Fontana 7/8 out of about ten tried. The rest start the shave with a bang and finish with a whimper. I am sure they would be great if I would strop mid shave but I want razors that keep their edge instead.
In a moment of weakness I ordered the Pierre Thiers forged collectible. It is only 5/8 (I prefer 6/8 and 7/8) but supposed to be heads above the rest. Will let you know how it holds its edge.
So far I would say TI is my preferred brand because they have a well deserved reputation for holding their edge.

Thanked: 4942I love my Maestro Custom Made Razors. Have only collected 4 so far.....lol. I also really love my TI's especially the Egyptians. The Maestro's razors are the most beautiful razors around and are sensational shavers. The TI Egyptians are way up on my list. Super shavers. I have a couple others, but judging by what happened when I started talking up Wonderedge's, I'll keep them quiet a little while longer. Lynn

I really like those Double Ducks. I have about 8 now and they all seem to give wonderful shaves and are easy to maintain even the bottom of the stack models. No matter whether they are pearlducks, bresducks or bresnicks. I can't think of another brand with such consistancy.
