Naniwa Mystery
Got in a Naniwa 220 Superstone hone the other day. Read the label that you can see in the picture below. Went out in driveway and tasted some natural stones by way of comparison. But, then I thought, you dummy! by "natural stone" they are referring to hones! Hones made from natural stone.
How dumb...
I have two Arkansas hones, and I tasted them. The Arkansas hones tasted chalky and metallic.
Then I asked for a drum roll, and tasted my new Naniwa. It tasted sour and rancid, like 5 year old Sweet Tarts.
I sent that Naniwa back to Japan!

I didn't know about Engrish.com, but the phonics strongly implies. My son said, "Submit that to failblog.org, which I did. And, there was Engrish.com!

Maybe it is like Scotch, an acquired taste ?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

The real question is; now that you've licked that stone, do you feel that you have a sharp tongue?
