Default What do you store your razors in?

Okay, so here's the question of the day...

I don't have many razors yet, but I can see the writing on the wall that my collection will grow as time goes on. I'm already thinking I "need" a new one.

So, where do you keep them all? We know Lynn has many, many mugs, and I have discovered stacking them on the counter or medicine cabinet doesn't work very well. And there is the matter of protecting an investment.

    Any thoughts?

I bought a toothbrush holder. Its an expensive one which has wide slots. Its made of metal and holds four razors in a round configuration. I keep the four current rotation in there, changing the razors out if they are being honed. The others I just keep in my sock drawer. I keep these in the bathroom. Seems to be working out well, no problems with rust or other issues. I like people who visit to have something interesting to talk about when they get out of the bathroom.

I have a ceder box, about 6" wide, 2" deep, 8" long, lined the inside with foam, and keep 3 razors in it, have two stands on shelves that I display a couple others I'm not using.

I bought a Sentry 1170 fire resistant locking file safe, used thin cardboard to devide the inside space into 96 one inch square by five inch tall storage spaces. The bulk of my collection is stored in it, with only the razors in my current rotation on a shelf next to my bathroom sink. This way if there is a fire most of my razors stand a fighting chance of surviving. I also have a large gun safe where I store my SRP limited edition razors and other boxed razors.

I bought this plastic 3 droor thing from Target. Top shelf is for soaps, middle is for lotion/aftershaves and samples, bottom shelf is for the hankies, shaving cloths and my razors. I only have 3 so this works well. I am sure that will change....

    Talking

My wife bought me a nice pen case (which doubles as my razor case) for Xmas. There's a display top and a drawer for the average ones. I see myself ending up with a rather sizeable collection as well so this is a nice way to go for me. You can check out the case in my gallery.
