Default Found a new shaving store in Oklahoma City

My guitar buddy accidentally stumbled across a store in Northpark Mall (122nd & North May) while having dinner with his family.

Carwins Shave Shop (405-751-2800) is tucked inside Winter House Home Furnishings store. This is located at the north end of the mall, on the west portion of the mall. Jim Carter is the owner, bud sadly was out yesterday.

    Products Include:
    Caswell-Massey
    Crabtree & Evelyn
    Jack Black
    Truefitt & Hill
Merkur DE Razors (Merkur & Feather blades available)
    Edwin Jagger
    Concord

They have probably over a dozen different brushes available. There was one starter set from Col. Conk there (straight & strop; can't remember if there was anything else). There were also a couple of Shavettes, possibly Dovo from the looks. I didn't notice any strops besides the one in the starter kit.

And the best part: free samples.

They are also possibly going to move sometime mid-year to the new development on Classen Curve. They are hoping to do straight razor shaves by appointment a couple of days a week.

This is great news! I was just talking to my wife last night that it was a shame there was no distributer in OK. I'll definetely check it out soon next time I go to work up in the city. Thanks for the info.

    Hey Gents
Carwin's new address is 5710 N. Classen Blvd. It's a much bigger store front and we carry all those lines still, plus a few new ones! Stop by next time you're in the neighborhood.

Thanks, I appreciate the information. Here I was thinking the only thing I had was in Dallas.

Mr. Mitchell, where in OK are you? I'm just south of Hugo now.
Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

No need to go clear down to Dallas. Stop in next time you're in the city and take a look.

Glad I found this thread. I'll be passing through OKC at the end of the month and spending a few days about an hour west of there. I'll have to swing by and check it out when I make my trip to El Reno for a couple of onion burgers from Sid's.

I usually take a half day away from the in laws and go to Sid's for lunch then head to bricktown for a beer at the bricktown brewery. If they're still open they make a great Heffeweizen.

You guyz are making me homesick. I was a cop in Moore for 20 years. Did my masters at Central Ok (Edmond) and my Ph.D. in Stillwater. That was hard, because my undergraduate degree is from Norman. I didn't have anyplace to sit at football games. Everyone in Ok. thought I was a communist because I don't like football anyway.
