    Yep! I certainly do!

I think a lot of people here have that problem and this is one of the more tricky things to work out when you start straight razor shaving.

What you need to do is map your beard and work out which way the hair grows all over your face. Then you need to work out which direction you need to move the razor to go WTG, XTG and ATG, given that hair growth. Then work out the best way to get the shaves you want. You wont get it down right from the start, no one does, but its that gradual learning process that makes this so much fun!

Its like learning any new skill. When you pick up a violin, you wont be able to play Caprice No. 24 by Paganini right off the bat, but if you put in some thought and the time you'll get there. Ok, extreme example, but you get the point..!

I dont like to do lots of passes, so by mapping my growth I now do most of my shaving XTG and I can get BBS in one pass. But I do make some passes that others might consider odd..!

For example, I shave my cheeks moving from my mouth back towards my ears, rather than the usual north to south move. And I do my neck in a similar way as well, combined with some stretching and tilting of my head to get the tricky spots.

I also have a scar on my skin, and the stubble there grows every which way so I have to do all sorts of stuff to get that smooth.

Its really all about finding what works for you!

    Good luck!
