I've got all sorts of tendons there and I stretched and stretched until I had pulled my toes up to my knees, but there was still about 1 square inch on both legs I just couldn't get at without being afraid of severing an artery...
This area is one of the hardest to do. I tend to use round point razors due to some of the contortions needed to get at certain areas, I am less likely to damage myself with a round point than a square tip. But it's all personal preference

Cassie, you've seen my pictures, you know I'm on the thin side. Pearl's pretty trim as well. (http://straightrazorpalace.com/ladie...-pics-ooo.html) So we know all about those tendons creating concave spaces that razors just don't like.

It may seem counter-intuitive, but you might try bending the opposite way, to put more skin in whatever crevice you're trying to shave, and then using your fingers to stretch an inch or two at a time. The tendons won't get in the way as much when they're not under tension, and you'll have plenty of flexibility of the skin to pull it onto a convex base (like a muscle or bone).

Good luck with the next go-round!

Straight shaving for women should be a work-out DVD.

When you're looping your arm under your leg to get at a tricky spot you can hardly see with a razor blade, you know you're living life on the edge!

Both you are Pearl both look so comfortable with the process. I had this look of intense focus on my face (and just a touch of "I'm gunna die, I'm gunna die, I'm gunna die...) the whole time. Someday I'll make it look at easy as you... maybe...

Alembic - All of these things are true.

You remind me of my grandma.

Not a bad idea lol. Maybe we can do a collaborative project with all the ladies here.

I can't speak for Pearl, but I'd done a few shaves by the time I did the photo shoot, so I was a little more comfortable with the razor. You do get over the "omg this thing is gonna kill me" feeling after a while, and it will start to feel like an extension of your hand instead of like a weird alien slicey tool of death. You'll be a pro in no time!

I keep being tempted to do a leg shave video, but life seems to throw so many other things at me that I never have time. Maybe someday.

    Glad you're winning Wander Woman
I think you ladies must have lots more skill than us guys who only do our daily face shave. Piece of cake compared to shaving ankles & popliteal fossae

Well, my skin has cast its votes since my thigh shave. Usually within a couple days of a shave I've got the world's worst ingrown hairs.

Right now, I have none that I can tell. My skin looks great. +1 for straights!

One thought, with our whole face we cant see what we are doing and have adapted by using a mirror. Wouldnt a small mirror to lay on the floor help to see what you need to see, in all those hard to see spots?
