Why Paul Senior is not using the SRP TI...
For the member who wanted to know why Paul Senior from OCC is not using the SRP TI that he send to him:
Orange County's Gillette tribute bike.
I can't believe that SRP razor is sitting stashed in some drawer somewhere

Good observation Nenad, but he's probably afraid to cut his million dollar face!

Nenad, It was because of the Gillette bike that I sent the TI to him. In the letter I explained that I had seen the show when they built it, but that we had rediscovered a better way to shave, rather than using the modern, inferior technology like Gillette. As for why he's not using it, it may be as Robert suggests, that he's afraid of damaging his face. I know some "tough guys" who shudder when I talk about straight shaving.lol

That is a pretty cool looking bike, though! I mean, even if it is devoted to a razor that vibrates like the magic fingers bed at the no-tell Motel.
Shame to have the razor go to waste, though.

Just think of the points he would score if he actually shave on the show with a straight razor!

If he were to shave with a straight razor on the show, the population of new members on the board here would see a dramatic "spike."
But you didn't really send a stranger one of the limited edition Straight Razor Place TI's, did you? That's like pawning a Superbowl ring, or something! Actually, no, it's not -- if you had pawned the TI, at least you would have got some cash. In this case, you got nothing.
I am disappointed. If you had sent it to me, at least it would have been in the hands of a SRP member.

But yeah, if everyone here were to write a letter saying something to the effect of, "If you don't make use of the straight razor, we're going to tell everyone you use a Venus razor," I'm sure he'd come around.
The next episode would have quotes like:
"To be honest with ya, I had never given much thought to shaving with a straight razor. But I gotta tell ya, after some guy at the Straight Razor Place website sent me this cut-throat, shaving has never been more fun."

Thanked: 1Too bad most of their bike are crap, IMHO. The one's I've seen in person, not enough attention was paid to the details, bolt holes rusted, scratched powder coating, etc.

Thanked: 1I am far from a bike fanatic (the opposite), but the things I did notice on their shows is:
a. Sr has no selfcontrol nor personal skills (but very likely a damn good techncian)
b. Son is a typically lazy leech (what does he bring?)
c. They do not do their design, coating, engine or painting themselves (so wth is so great about them?)
If someone wants to send their idol(s) anything that is up to them though and good on them.
End of my raving,
Hoekie
