I found a few razors on ebay, VERY cheap and I'd like you guys if you can, to give me some feedback about which one would you choose 1 to 5.

Thanked: 1I cannot comment on the razors.
I do have a few questions/comments.
There is no guarantee.
Total minimum cost is 10,80 +6,50 euro shipped within a small part of Europe (the question is where do you live and how much will this add to the item?) making it at least $20 as is, probably more shipped anywhere else.
For the quality of the razors I hope someone else can enlighten you.

I can only say I like trhe last two. I can't tell if they are shave ready though.

My opinion! There all pretty good, atleast all but #3. Number 3 you can't see close enough. #5 has two small nicks near the tip. You'd hone all that out. #4 is good but has some water spotting on the edge (you should avoid this on principle, but this one looks ok and would be honed out. NONE of them are shave ready, of that I am certain. If you read the fine print I would bid on the two you find the most aesthetically pleasing. I would not bid on #3. I would avoid the one with visible nicks, from this distance they would likely be big. The key for all of these though is that someone will want one, two, or three of these really bad and one will slide by without a bid so I'd watch the action, make no bids until the last minute for the max your willing to pay. They are all good steel it appears with the possible exception of #3.

1. Looks good, but MAY not be as good as a Solingen made razor.
2. MIGHT have some pitting issues on the edge which would make it difficult to achieve a shaving edge.
3. Looks GREAT to me.
4. Almost certainly has rust and pitting on the edge which would make it tough to become a shaver. Lots more honing there.
5. Seems to show some nicks so there's more honing there to get rid of that, and let me tell you it can be time consuming.
All in all I recommend Number 3, one of Bill's fine rebuilds or perhaps Tony's NOS goodies .

Thanked: 2209If you are new and do not have the necessary hones I would stay away from any used razor on Ebay except for a few that are listed as shave ready.
I would strongly suggest buying a razor from a member of this forum that is shave ready or from www.billysblades.com or www.thewellshavedgentleman.com or www.classicshaving.com and get the sharpening service option.
