Am I missing something?
Although I belong to the Yahoo SRP group...I never log-in. Am I missing a lot by not participating there? It just seems MUCH harder to follow things there.

Thanked: 1I'm also a Yahoo group member. I have my account set up to log me in automatically. The only time I've found it useful is if I want to start a new post. I always just reply to the emails as I would any other email. I do like the feature of getting ALL responses on a given topic without having to go back to the main site as it is set up here. I do understand why it is set up that way and in no way consider it a downside here but it's just a lot easier when all the responses are delivered directly to my email.

Probably not missing anything critical. They do have some nice files set up to read. I started on the Yahoo site a couple of years ago. One good thing to do is to visit the archive index of posts and write down all the posts ever created on the key subjects. Then bring up every post on the subject ever started. Its a poor mans search function, but has lots of useful information, if your willing to blow 2 or 3 hours. It uses Excel though so you may need to download a reader if you have an old computer.

Every file at the Yahoo site migrated to this site when it was created. They are all under the "Help Files" link under the Main Menu panel on the left.

I have not been back to the Yahell group since this site was created... I'm just fed up with Yahoo in general and while I'll retain my membership there in case this site goes down for what ever reason I dont participate there either.

I'm with you RT. I am a member there, but rarely post. Sometimes if I'm in the mood to surf some razor talk and nothing new is going on at the other 3, I'll kill some time there. It is hard to follow anything though, unless you get the email notifications. I have plenty of emails to sort through daily already, so I don't use that option.

I found the Yahoo site to difficult to follow as well so I just hang around here. I'm spoiled though since one of the first posts I read over there was instructing me to come here.

I check the posts from time to time but rarely post. I agree the format is difficult to follow. Personally I think they should have migrated the whole site to this one a while ago.

Thanked: 1Too many folks like the email posts that Yahoo offers. That's the reason it was kept, and not 100% moved to here. Trying to keep everyone happy, and the yahoo site is still looking active.
