Thread: Fun at Sephora...

Took the SWMBO into Sephora this last weekend to pick out some new stuff for her and one of the ladies approached me:

sales lady: Have you seen our mens selection?
me: Yeah, but do you have anything for shaving?
sales lady: Yes! Have you seen our Anthony 'Ultimate Shaving Kit'?
me: No...I'd like to see that.

she shows me this: Sephora: Anthony Logistics For Men A Clean Start Kit ($56 Value): Gift Ideas & Sets

me: This is the 'ultimate kit'?
sales lady: Yes, this includes everything you need to get the best shave of your life!
me: Does it include a quality brush made of badger or boar hair?
sales lady: uh...no
me: oh....does it include a quality shave soap similar to something available from Harris or Trumpers?
sales lady: uh...no
me: oh...how about an alcohol or hazel based aftershave lotion?
sales lady: uh...no
me: weeelll....hmmm....since it doesn't have the highest quality shaving products included, what makes this the 'ultimate shaving kit'?
sales lady: It does include a great SPF15...

I kept my attitude in a non-sarcastic manner and asked her the questions as though I was honestly looking for an answer, but she was there to do just what her job title describes...sell. It deteriorated from there into a 'teaching moment' for her and some of the passing-by staff on the anatomy of a good shave.

Unfortunately, the real trap was that they were probably just keeping me busy while the wife bought over $200 in Dior and Versace Touche Sephora!
