Thread: Newbie night?

I'm wondering if there might be any interest in a "Newbie Night"? Say a chat session on a weeknight to just discuss basics. Might be a neat way to give new guys a chance to go ahead and ask the questions they may not want to ask and talk about what we think the basics really are. I'd probably vote for a Thursday, just to deconflict with Sunday but I'd be open for another chat session any night.

Good idea! I'm usually free on Thursday's as well and would love the opportunity to give something back to this great forum.

Sounds like a great idea to me, too.

It's a little late for my newbie days, but I think it could be a great help. And it gives new guys a time to meet and greet!

I think those of us who just learned and have "gotten it" would be very valuable at these chats as well. How people learn to understand something is critical. I'm pretty sure another 20 years or so and I'm going to have this stuff down.

That's a great idea. That way I could, um, err, I mean all the newbies could get all the info they need on one night.

I guess I came in too late. There was no one there when I came into the chat room. Let's try it again next Thursday....
