    Default D8C - I like it.

I had agonized about getting a D8C for a while. But, now that I have it I am finding it to be a pretty useful tool in my restoration arsenal. Other than the hone lapping, it has been used for a variety of jobs. Scale flattening, wedge sanding, bevel setting, and breadknifing.

The longer I have it, the better I like it.

The D8C is a great stone. I was using sandpaper on glass lapping plate for the longest time before I finally got one. It makes lapping so much easier. I also use it for honing (very judiciously obviously!) It worked really well to remove a stubborn chip from my Palmera.
