    RT,

I travel for 3-5 days at a time, and I REALLY don't want to use disposibles anymore. I may just have to start checking my stuff, I dont know, I'll have to really think about it.

I am worried that if I only shave with the straight razor on the weekends then it will take a very long time to become proficient.

I also iterated the fact that I would NOT try to smuggle a str8 in it ~ it is simply not worth the risk in my opinion. I truly did not intend anyone to heed that "advice"; if I thought it would be taken seriously I would have kept my mouth shut. Lesson learned. Not speaking of you, Alan, but I need to remind myself, from time to time, how many younger fellows we have here in our midst and what consequences our influence may have. My apologies to the masses.

Don't worry Jeff. I thought about putting a straight in a "can safe" in my checked baggage to keep them from being stolen. But none of the "can safes" are deep enough to hold a straight. So when I travel I'll either risk it in my dopp kit or carry a dredded Mock 3.

    Hi JLStorm,

Do you often go to the same place and same hotel when you travel? If so, you could leave a razor there in their hotel safe.

About 50% of my travel involves going to the same town for monthly meetings and I always stay in the same hotel, so for me, it's easy to just keep a razor at the hotel.

Of course if your travel involves going to a bunch of different places all the time, then checking your bags is the only viable option. After you have gotten used to shaving with a straight, you'll hate using anything else.
