    Default Shout-out to SRP

Just wanted to say thanks guys. I've been shaving with a straight razor for 6-7 weeks now, and you guys have really stepped up my game. I've gone from just barely being able to put a straight to my face to getting some of the best shaves of my life consistently.

You guys have improved me in all categories: I can use the spike point to dial in my chin line perfectly with no taper to shaved skin; I've improved my soap / cream inventory majorly (got MWF on the way, loving Pre de Provence, great shaves with the T&H Rose Cream Tub, Cella as always...); I took my reference razor honed by Lynn back to an incredible shaver (bad stropping and other newbie mistakes messed it up, today i did a pyramid starting at 10 on the norton 4k and ending with 5 on the naniwa 12k followed with 10 strops on cotton, 40 strops on a Dovo Prima, and 100 strops on SRD english bridle. the razor shaves flat out incredibly); good stropping has become easier than walking without chewing gum; and Lynn's tip on using the tip of the brush is the greatest thing to happen to soap and cream since some put badger hair on a handle; and several more that are slipping my mind at the moment.

Thanks guys. The wiki is great. The forums are great. The reviews are generally superb. Thanks.

    Sidnet,

I wrote that incorrectly so I edited my post. I'm still new to forums in general, so here's a link to the tip.
