Thread: Got me my first Dubl Duck - Wonderedge

Did not think I would be able to get it, considering what these pupies usually go for.

This one looks very good especially for the $45 + 6.50 s&h. A bit of restoration and honing and it will be good as new. Or as some on e-boy say "Minty".

Nice DD, I was looking at that one, but I actually have 3 already. I just haven't worked on them so I can use them yet. I guess I've been lazy, but I now have a really nice Boker that I've sharpened to shaving sharpness.

Those scales are perfect. A little work on the blade and it will look fantastic! You're the man for the job. Congrats.

One of these days I'm going to get MY hands on one of these bad boys just to see what all the fuss is about. Hopefully I can get another razor to shave with so I can send my current Henckels (and the next razor) to Lynn and discover wether or not I really am getting as good a hone myself as I think I am. God I love this hobby

I was wondering about the swirl etch pattern on the tang. I don't remembe seeing it on the other DD's.

Does anyone know if it is original?

Wouldn't matter to me...I like it...wonder how it was done. Might be a nice technique for the restoration crews to cover stuff or dress things up a bit.

Don't worry about the swirl on the tang. Mine has that too. In fact, every DD razor I've seen has it.

The swirlies are only on the Wonderedge as far as I know. Mine have it..

I have about 10 different DDs and the wonderedges are the only ones with the swirls on the metal.
