went to a garge sale
today my wife went out to got to garage sales and for once I Went with her the 4th or 5th place we stopped she came to the car and said they have a razor so I got out and this guy had a brand no boker razor and dirty bird scuttle with an new SRD bridle strop I saw all this and my rad hit the hand started shaking and all I could think is got to have it so I ask how much for the razor the guy looks up an says and I quote " oh that its messed up it wont shave so 25 buck but I wont hold it." let just say I couldn't get to the bank quick enough leaving my wife standing there staring at me like I was a fool but when I got back my wife met me at the car and said it was gone sold two minute before I got back. Well after saying some choice word under my breathe I walked over and started talking to the guy about razors and what he had and stuff and explained to him the reason it wouldn't shave was the razor still had its factory edge on it . I asked where he got it and for the life of me I can not remember the site he told me but he was really kicking himself when he found out all it need was sent to a honemaster to be honed

He wouldn't hold it for you till you got back from the bank? Kind of sad.

Thanked: 1I frequently visit estate sales. not so much garage/yard sales unless the house is old. I would have had a few choice words for the guy after telling him he gave it away. I have learned the same lesson you have, Never go to a sale without a pocket full of cash. My great loss was a Grizzley floor mount drill press with a bad motor. Asking price was $50.00
