Thread: so i shaved with my pocket knife

ok so lets start by saying im what the army calls a hard charger with tounge in cheek (hard headed). I don't have a straight razor, still making my decisions as to wich I want. Now I do curently use a brush and soap for my shave lather, I watched a video on making lather that was posted else where on the forums and it helped tremendusly. I went in to the bathroom started trying the techniques I learned and came up with good lather, then I remembered I had sharpened my pocket knife earlyer today while I was watching the honing tutorials and for some reason a light went off...I wonder, so I reached in to my pocket pulled it out and at this point my wife had just gotten out of the shower sees the lathered face and her husband holding a pocket knife and wearing a smile (never a good sign from me) she said well i think its a bad idea and shook her head so with blade in hand and ready for the pain I made my frist stroke, yes it pulled a little, yes it burned some but it shaved prety darn good. Now my wife is thinking after seeing my face twisted up like I just drank skunk beer, well thats all folks but remember im a "hard charger" so I shaved both sides of my face and in a rare moment of clarity decided against shaving my neck or chin with it. It wasnt the easyest shave (as I, we were laughing the whole time) it wasnt the most comfertable shave but I promise you it will be one of my most memorable shaves like the time i was shaving as the mortars were falling and my friends and i just laughed at the insanity of it all any way just thought it was funny and some might need a good laugh
