Thumbs up My new best razor

Yesterday i received my new Thiers-Issard Egyptian Keystone from ClassicShaving. (http://www.classicshaving.com/catal...3551/977964.htm thanks Larry). The picture on Ray's web site does not do it justice. The gold keystone design of the frameback is beautiful workmanship. It wasn't quite shave ready but a little honing on the Nortion (very little) and some diamond paste and she was ready to go. What a shaver! The best I've ever experienced.

I have this same razor, and agree it's quite beautiful and an excellent shaver.

    This link should work better:

Yep...that or the other Egyptian will be my next razor. Love my TI Blond Horn Silver Steel though. Enjoy your new blade.

Congratulations. I've been drooling over that razor for a LOOOOOOONG time.
What can you tell me about the weight of that one. It looks like it has a heavy spine, but can't be more than 5/8.

You're right, it is 5/8's but its quite heavy. Its well balanced and shaves like a larger sized razor.

Xman, I finally found my handy-dandy metric scale. The TI Egyptian weighs in at 49grams, my 7/8 Red Stamina TI weighs in at 59 grams and my 7/8's Friodur SS weighs 60 grams. Like I said, the Egyptian feels heavty and truly shaves like a larger razor.
