    Default A very helpfull person.

I would like to take up this tiny spot of cyberspace to thank someone that has helped me excessively with straight razor shaving. This member has gone out of his way to provide his knowledge and experience. His site name is Commiecat.

Being brandspanking new to straights, Commiecat invited me, a compleat stranger, into his home to hone a razor that i had just purchased. He let me watch, ask questions and learn. He was very gracious. Upon learning that the razor was pulling and not removing hair, he took my razor to rehone it and loaned me one in the interim so i could see if his worked even better.

Now at this point, i must inform every one that i have never shaved with a straight until this week. It is quite possible and extremely probable that the issues with the blade were not his honing but my compleat lack of knowledge and experience.

Thank you Commiecat for striving to give me a good shave and a positive experience. You have, at the very least, earned lunch (Harley thinks i should include some beers). People could take a lesson from you.

    Prosneek (Ken)

    Hey Ken,

Thanks for the kind words and I just sent you a PM about it. Sorry but I think that razor is beyond my abilities and would suggest sending it to a professional.

Keep us posted on your experiences with that razor I loaned you, though!

It's great to hear about someone going out of their way and giving generously of their time to help a newcomer. It's equally gratifying to hear the appreciation expressed publicly. A big hand to both of you.
