LOL Ed! I know what you mean. I only need one more, I find it, reevaluate and come up with the same conclusion, just one more.
Back to the OP, I generally test shave one razor at a time just to enjoy the nuances of the blade, which is why I purchased it in the first place. Ed's approach sound interesting also. I may give it a try with some of straights already in my limited rotation.Last edited by Joed; 04-04-2010 at 03:35 PM.

A Presidential Shave
Gentlemen:
I'm afraid I stick with one razor throughout the shave. If somewhere along the shave the razor starts yawning, I give it another stropping.
As for presidents using several pens to sign legislation, it's just a tradition in the U.S. Many presidents have done it. When the tradition started, I don't know. And, yes, the pens usually are given away to commemorate the momentous occasion.

I'm too lazy to take more than one razor per shave. It is sort of a test also. If one razor cannot make those 2 passes i make then it is time to hone again.

Thanked: 1If i have not shaved in a few days or sometimes on a Sunday afternoon I will take 2 or 3 different razors with me. I will switch razors after each pass to get that sharp, smooth feel on each pass. I finish with a little 4/8 wedge so I can really get in and touch up all the hard to get to spots.
It takes some time to strop and clean all the razors but as they say, anything worth doing is worth doing right.
