Thread: Ever Find a SR You Want But Can't Get?

I stopped by a barber's today, and he had a U.S. Navy Bartmann straight razor, in very good condition, wiht the stainless steel handles (so it could be sterilized, I guess). Dude wouldn't come off it. lol It was a beautiful blade, with clearly visible etching and "Tuesday" etched inside a design on the top of the blade. Lots of staining, but no rust or pitting. 5/8 or 6/8. Beautiful piece, be he wouldn't get rid of it. Damn the luck.

I wouldn't, but the guy only had the one. He doesn't even remember where he got it. It was nice, though.

True. He had a bunch of razors, but most of them were stainless Hess hair cutting razors. They were like new, with pearly celluloid (I think) handles. He did have one Gem wedge, with busted handles and a chip in the blade. Didn't really want that one.

You can wait until he retires, then he might let you have it.
