Default Anyone on this board win this TI on eBay?

Check out this auction on eBay that just ended today: 6605555359

Wow. What a beautiful razor. I don't know anything about the Spartacus, but it looks like a really nice vintage TI. You can get a brand new Egyptian or Frameback for that price too. A tough choice.

    Ed,
I had bid on it but it went too high for my blood. I did win the exact same one in a round point 2 weeks ago for $71. It was listed as a French Shaver instead of a Straight Razor.

I thought I saw a new Spartacus at one of the .com shops not too long ago for about half this price. This guy is buying up a ton of razors. He even bought a Dirk special Henckels that could have been had for about half going straight to Dirk in Germany. If you see him bidding, let it go. Prices are plenty high as they are now.......lol. Still some deals out there. We have seen people like this come and go for a long time now. Wish them the best and Have fun. Lynn

Depends on which end of the e-bay you are on.

This fine bidder happens to have placed the first bid on my voilin scaled razor . I am hoping he comes back and bids again in the same vein as he has been bidding on other razors .

I for one welcome his participation on e-bay , at least when I am not bidding against him.

He's either rich or trying to go broke or both. almost 2000 bucks on fountain pens. and then several hundred on phones that probably would go for less straight from the shop. Wish I had that kinda cash

Sounds like he's got more dollars than sense. Oneatatime.com has the Spartacus for $124.99.

FUD you did not go thoroughly through his purchases: 2 x $1800+ for Agatha Christi Montblancs, another $1000 or so on cheaper pens (350-400) and a buch of cheap razors (less than $1000) all that in the last week and a few days.

Probably enjoys winning auctions and may have more money than time or desire to "bargain shop". Some with money see it as beneath them.

Definitely has the cash to blow. Probably looks at e-bay as a scavenger hunt entertainment. I don't think money is an issue for this buyer. Too bad he did not bid again on my razor . I would have spent his money wisely .
