The biggest reason I got the Rose steel one was because I didn't have any Sheffield razors in my collection.Last edited by Joe Chandler; 02-25-2006 at 02:49 AM.

I saw the Perfecto and almost bid on it myself. Those should clean up nice. Let us know how they shave, will ya?

Will do. Wish I had 'em to take on my trip. I'm carrying all 11 I have. Maybe I can do some trading.

The Clauss I won a couple weeks ago had the same kind of grease on it when I got it. After a little clean-up (mostly soap and water and some Metal-Glo), it looks almost new. Shaves nice, too.

Finally got around to shaving with these two, and they're the best shavers I have. The Perfecto has some nice bone handles. The Barnsley Sheffield is the single best shaver I have...even better than my new Dovo. Not really wild about the plain black bakelite handles, but they're thicker than normal, and the razor is very well balanced. I love the Perfecto, too. If I have one complaint about it, it's that it doesn't have jimping on the shank, which I prefer on my razors. Neither razor shows any signs of honing, good or bad (except what I did myself), and outside of a little staining on the blade, are as good as new. I got lucky. These rounded out my 7-day set (of really good shavers). Now, I gotta get to swapping some. I have a pathological aversion to keeping things
...I always seem to be trying something new. Maybe that's why I'm so friggin' poor...
Still wanting a Wade & Butcher. XMan's got about the most perfect one I've ever seen in the User Gallery section (you know...the one with the rosette pins and ironwood handles)

Thanked: 2Boy it sure is a shame that I usually don't go over $5. Those are some nice razors. Good deal.
