    Default New Gillette in June...

Has everyone seen the commercials for the 'new' Gillette razor to be released in June? I found out what the changes entail....wait for it....

    1) Different formulation of lubrication strip
    2) Blades 15% thinner

Doesn't seem like alot of changes to me...

I was wondering when someone would say something.
If someone knows someone that tries one let us know
    what they think...

Thinner blades could mean that the honing machines get
rebuilt or replaced. That could result in sharper blades
or could simply result in mixed quality results while they
    dial them in again.

Gillette, what a disappointment! No new blades? All that great satire, lost forever, just because they couldnt be bothered to squeeze another blade in there.

No Mach 6? No Gillette Hexadic? And then the opportunity to add more moisturising strips, extra head movement and a SUPER-vibrate function?

What a loss to the world of comedy!

I jest of course! But I bet they crank up the price for the "new" blades. And they'll get some celeb to endorse them and people will pay £4 or £5 a blade for them.

Meanwhile, I'll be using my straight razors, getting a better shave and enjoying the fact that I'm not paying a Kings ransom to get shaved.

    RAD? HAD? Me? Never!

The launch includes four new products to use before and after shaving, including a thermal scrub Taub says will mimic the effect of a barber's hot towel. They'll sell for $6.99 to $8.99.
I'll be interested in trying these out when it hits the shelves.

probably thinner blades to give "closer" shaves and they will last even fewer shaves to maximize their profit.

I bet Derek Jeter and Roger Federer are the first ones in line!

The ProGlide will cost 10 percent more than the current Fusion, at a suggested price of $10.99 for a handle and a single shaving head.
Love that business model. The razor itself costs $11 but the replacement cartridges will probably run $30 or so.
