    Default Good Travel Combination

A while back I had a thread going asking opinions on various brands of disposable str8's for use as a travel razor. About the same time I discovered Neutrogena Skin Clearing Shave Cream which is a waterless shave cream.

After many suggestions I settled on a Rockwell Solingen disposable and the Neutrogena cream as my travel set. Well I got a chance to try them out.

I was just released from a 3 week stay in the hospital. I wasn't able to shave the first week (felt like crap, surgery and ICU) so by the 8th day I was really bushy. I could only sit up in a chair. Well my combo worked like a champ.

While not exactly like the real thing, the Rockwell was extremely close to the feel of a good str8. The waterless cream gave an effortless shave and left my face feeling great when done. Given my situation the need to only have a dry towel to wipe the razor with was a real plus. With only a change of blade once I got consistently great shaves.

All things considered I think this will be a permanent addition to my travel kit.

    Aznaod7,

I think the razors are out of production but they appear frequently on eBay. I got mine on a trade with one of our members here on SRP. I found the cream at Walmart.

    Hope this helps.
