Newbie Contest
I'm 'over the moon' to have been chosen as the winner of the Newbie essay competition. Only got the news today after returning from a trip where we had no internet or email access. It's about the second thing I've won in my entire life! I am very grateful to the generous donor of the great prize and can assure you all it will be used with enthusiasm and care!

I wish I had heard about this! I started posting about a month ago and I've been so focused on other forums that I hadn't ventured in here until now. Is this something that happens fairly regularly? Is there a way (other than constantly checking this forum) to get a head's up when something like this happens?
