Default This is my 100th post.

Well, I finally made it to 100 posts so I guess that makes me a “Honemeister”. Well having honed several razors of different blade configurations and with different steels and shaved with them I guess I could consider myself a reasonable honer, a Honemeister well we will see. I know I can’t compare to Lynn or any of the other Honemeisters that have been doing it for such a long time.
Regardless, having made it this far and having learned so much from this forum and the one on the Yahoo group I would like to state my appreciation for all of the help that you kind people have given me along the way. It has been a true learning experience doing this straight razor shaving thing. I have enjoyed it and still enjoy it very much.
I have also started collecting and have been for some time. I have honed several of them and have shaved with them. It is actually pretty cool to shave with something that you have honed. The shaving soaps and after shave stuff that one can use is also pretty cool.
I have noticed that a lot of new people have joined this hobby/obsession lately and have read their posts. It is rewarding to me to see this thing grow as it has been lately plus the help that they get from the older members. I have been on other forums of different subjects and have seen new people ridiculed because of their questions. Well it doesn’t happen on this forum and several have stated so. So keep up the good work and maybe we can convert the world to straight razor shaving. Well it is a thought…………… HAPPY SHAVING
if anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.

Congratulations! Now you get the keys to the special honemeister shaving den (where shaving without pants is permitted!)

I think we're going to have to have a big party when someone (Rich?) hits a thousand posts one of these days.

Good job Str8. I agree that it's particularly satisfying to transform a worn blade to fabulously keen tool.
