Thanked: 227Shaving with my Milwakee Barbe Supply Co. razor
Howdy folks
Well my prize from the May giveaway came yesterday, thanks to those who donated once again, and thanks to str8razor for a swift dispatch.
Well I had shaved a couple of days before and didn't really need to shave so I decided to save it till today when I had time, and I'm off out tonight
Sooo, I took up the SRD lime soap and the brush, and began trying to make myself a bowlful of lather, the brush is a bit bigger than I'm used to lol so this took a few attempts, but perseverance was king, I got a good creamy lather and proceeded to work it into my hairy bits of face, then I took up the blade and started to shave away, a WTG, almost all the hair was gone, a good XTG and a nice rinse, a few little rough bits across the jaw line and chin, so I lathered up one final time and went ATG on these bits.
My result an amazing clean, pretty much BBS shave, and a note that maybe my gotta needs a touch up lol.
And on the prizes, that lime soap is awesome and I find the smell refreshing, so a massive thanks to our anonymous donor, you are a human of taste. As for the brush, mr Cannonfodder this is a lovely brush, was it made by your fair hand? As I say a little bigger than I'm used to but after a few minutes playing around with it, and painting on some lovely thick lather, it's in the top two of my brushes , Ookla the razor was sharper than a very very sharp thing, and I would say one of my top shaves so far, and feels nice and comfortable in the hand, I noticed the scales are curved out odly comfy lol, however as for the strop I am yet to try it out, as the razor didn't need stropping off the bat, and when finished I went to my trusty paddle to make sure the blade was good and dry.
Well thanks again to everyone and to you all for reading this lengthy post.
