I remember woodworkers would etch there name on to there handsaws I wonder how it would work on razors

The blade is laser etched, like in the microscope pics I posted not long ago. It is not dark, just diferent texture. Try searching Micarta in the forums, you will find it, in the thread about removing gold wash from the razor...
