Thread: Jersualem Straight Shavers?

Hi All
I'm traveling to Israel in about 10 days and will be there three weeks. Though I've been to Israel and Jersualem quite a bit, I will be traveling this time for the first time with my straight-shaving gear.

My big concern is that I might need to get some item while over there--like if I lost my shaving brush or needed more soap, or even had to buy a razor. Luggage can get lost and take several days to be found and returned, and of course, straight-razors are not exactly welcome in carry-on. Plus, being gone for 3 weeks, I have to pack very carefully so I have no weight or space to spare for extra stuff.

SO...does anyone know of a place in Jerusalem, Israel, where a gentleman can buy straight-shaving supplies in the event of a straight-razor emergency? I will be living very near the old city so a location near there would be ideal.

Maybe we have some Israeli straight shavers here?

Unfortunately, I can disappoint you.
Very difficult to find new straight razors in Israel. I never saw. I don't live in Jerusalem, I live on the north.
May be! You can find old razors in the Old City.
But all isn't so bad. Israeli Ben-Gurion Airport lose luggage not so often.
