I recently shaved the mustache that I had worn for 32 years, too much gray, I like it but my kids keep saying I look like a perv! Ungrateful little #$@!% that they are.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Seriously though, I tried growing a beard when I was living in Australia and, TBH, I really hated it. I hadnt discovered straights by that time so I only used to shave once a week (with an M3) and the shaves were horrible. Ingrown hairs, razor burn, the lot.
I figured why not grow a beard instead of all of that pain? So I gave it a try, but it made my face feel permanently greasy and it was really unpleasant in the hot Queensland summers, so I stuck to shaving once a week and suffering all the associated problems.
I toyed with an electric for a time, but that wasnt much better. Since I got into straight razors I've been clean shaven and had none of the pain that I had with cartridge razors. Love it!
