I actually have a buddy who does heavy duty work with databases for banks and mobile companies. He still asks me for advice on routine computer maintenance and simple stuff like backing up DVD movies. As for me, the reason for not having an avatar is that I'm a lazy bum lol.

pick a pic and size it to 82x82 pixels (gimp in linux does wonders, photoshop or microsoft photo editor for you microshaft blokes). Save it to GIF or JPG format. Go to  , click on forums. click on the down arrow for "quick links" and select "edit avatar" and follow the instructions.

I use GIMP on both my WinXP and my Linux systems. You can download it off www.sourceforge.net. However, I find that ACDSee is easier to use when you want to resize pics.

I have a few pics like that of my fiance...although usually she has to be somewhat drunk for me to take them! However, she would freakin kill me if I ever posted them anywhere!!!! You are either lucky, or brave lol.
