    Default Travel razor kit?

Just wondering what you take with you on vacations or trips, and how do you pack it? We are planning a trip to Scotland and I will need to take along my shaving equipment. Not sure if I can take a SR but I have a DE also. Please post a picture of your kit...working on mine just not sure what to put it in or how to pack it.
    Thanks,
    Razorburn

I was thinking about the same thing...
Not only for vacation, but what about for weekly work trips?
I would think an unbladed razor would work for carry-on if not taking any checked luggage and then just buy blades, if you dare leave it up to chance, at the destination...

I am new to Straight and DE shaving and haven't travelled without checking a bag yet, but may be going on some overnight trips where I may only need an additional change of clothes that I can carry-on.

Any tips or tricks are appreciated.

    Joe.

I don't have any pics at the moment, but I travel frequently for work. If you are going to bring your straight, you will have to check a bag (No sharp objects in carry on). I put my brush inside an old toilet paper tube, the razor inside a toothbrush holder, bring a plastic tub of soap from SRD, (I put this stuff in a zip-lock bag) as well as a SRD paddle strop. This set up works out very well for me. Also, I have found that icing down a glass bottle and rubbing it on my face after the shave serves as a nice after shave (a lot of hotels seem not to have very cold water). Cheers!

I have a plastic medicine bottle for my brush, a plastic chewing tobacco tin for my soap, I can get a coffee mug to lather-up with...I may just use the DE for this trip and see how it goes. Just a couple of blades will do for a week. Shave every other day...now what to pack it in and how place the items?
