    I did this again today and my skills are vastly superior to that short time ago when I originally wrote this. The straight gave a far better shave than the Gillette on both passes this time around.

    Great post - loved the read. I think you could put most peoples avatar on this post - with some minor variations of course. But I love the comment about your wife being used to your eccentricities. I think anyone who pick up this art is nothing if not eccentric.

    Also, here in Michigan, I don't think I can actually walk past a shop and see a straight razor for sale.
