If YOU leave the shop YOU lose your turn!
As a kid I remember sitting in the barber shop and I remember that sign in every shop and I remember people having to run out for one reason or another and getting into a big argument with the barber.
Any others remember that? Any others get into an argument with the barber because YOU left the shop before YOUR turn?
Warning: by answering this question your admitting to being an old fogey. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I don't remember anyone running out of the shop until they already had their hair cut. I do remember going to the barber one Saturday and he was watching cartoons. That floored me. At that age (6 or 7), I didn't think "old" people watched cartoons because my dad never did.

The only person, other than me, who has ever cut my hair is my dad. He owns the shop.

I don't recall seeing a sign like that in any barber shop I've ever been in. It was just automatically understood that anyone leaving the shop would be at the end of the line when they returned. No one ever argued with the barber either.

I still get in arguments with people who leave the tattoo shop and come back later. No kidding. "But i put my name on the list."
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 30When I lived in Las Vegas for 12 years I went to the same barber shop that was ran by a black man named Leroy and most of his clientele were black. He was one of the very few who gave straight razor shaves in town. He used to have a lot of customers that would step out for a phone call or a smoke or to go to the restaurant next door. He had a sign that said " You step out you lost your place " he said he would have a disgruntled customer yell at him from time to time and his reply was "My razor isn't just for shavin so take your seat " That usually put them in their place.

Speaking of tattoo shops, where might you be located? I have been thinking of getting another tat and i like to support the people that i know. The tat i have been thinking about is a straight razor and who better to do the work than a fellow straight user. Please be close to Florida.
