Thanked: 9Just taught my step-son how to shave!
Well, my wife has forbidden me to share this happy occasion on facebook, in fear of embarrasing our son, so I thought some of you here would appreciate my excitement... Tonight we allowed our 14 year old to shave for the first time. I gave him a little history of shaving lesson, for the first time showing him my collection of straight razors, then showed him my safety razors, then discussed prep, technique, etc... Apparently, he has been studying me because he asked about ATG, without a prompt from me. My wife took photos and I will post if anyone is interested. Today was a very proud day!!!
P.S. He really enjoyed Proraso. He said, "it feels tingly in a cool way"

Awesome BG!
You've given your stepson beautiful memories my biological father never gave me. Thank you for the gift of sharing this with us.

Please post the photos! I raised a house full of girls and have not had the chance to pass anything from father to son, you do not know how blessed you are, at the moment I have a couple of years to go before my eldest grandson will need the lesson.

I've always wished for a son so that I can do stuff with him and teach him things like this, which my own father never did.
Congrats on being an awesome father!

Good job..!
The more people we show how to shave like this, the longer the art will stay alive. And its a great bonding experience as well..!

I've been planning on getting my sisters son involved soon /evil grin. My daughter says she has no interest in cutting her legs off I'll have to work on that I guess...

Really...that is so cool. I can't say anything that all the others haven't already. Just one more baby step toward simplifying our lives and carrying on a wonderful art and tradition. Good for you !

Thanked: 983That almost brought tears of happiness out of me. I got a little misty eyed when I read that. Congratulations. You have my father of the year award. I have three girls so I won't have the opportunity you have just had.
