Doubled the herd
Just bought one of those 10 assorted razor sales on Ebay. I only own about 8 razors now and try and keep it down. I'll use these to play with a little restoration work, practice my honing skills, and keep the best for me. I'll sell any extras out to newbies if they pass my "willing to sell Q.C." criteria. Should be lots of fun ...
Hey, Bill, maybe you can put one of your cools scales on a blade for me. Wonder what that runs, anybody know?

Those can sometimes be great deals. I bought a lot of 6. One was no good, but four of the other five were (after a little cleaning up) near mint, with almost no hone wear. All but one were Sheffields, too. (The other was a Boker "Cracker Jack" with the celluloid-covered tang). The 5th was a W&B true 5/8 wedge. I had to buff the engraving off the blade, but it, too was returned to excellent/very excellent condition. Now I just gotta put scales on it (the horn handles were worm-eaten). Picked up a few parts for others, too. I'm saving up all my old/broken/worn out razor blades. They have great steel in them. I'm going to send them to Wayne Goddard (hopefully), and have him forge-weld them together to make a damascus blade.

I am always spooked by the large groups for sale. I always assume that they are junk. Ok I learned something.
